The problem
Most job searches don't fail for lack of effort. They stall because the effort goes into the wrong places, one improvised application at a time.
One resume/CV and a generic cover letter, sent to roles that want different things.
Every new posting starts a fresh rewrite instead of a quick, planned adjustment.
Long job descriptions, unclear must-haves, and no clear way to judge your fit.
Stories that ramble, answers that miss the question, and no honest practice.
Missed follow-ups, forgotten contacts, and no idea which efforts are working.
Messages that ask for too much, say too little, and rarely get a reply.
Random prompts produce generic, robotic drafts, and sometimes claims that aren't true. AI helps most when it follows a system and works from your real evidence.
The solution
Nine stages, in order. Each one has a chapter, ready-to-use prompts, and a clear output you can check before moving on, so every step builds on the one before.
Choose a realistic target and collect the evidence behind it.

| Requirement | Type | My evidence | Level | How I will address it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups) | Required | #5 Society budget model | Strong evidence | Lead bullet in projects section |
| SQL for querying data | Required | #3 Food-price project; multi-table queries | Some evidence | Name the specific queries in my bullet |
| Presenting insights to non-technical teams | Implied | #4 Presented findings to the society committee | Some evidence | Use as cover letter example |
| Dashboard tool experience | Preferred | None | Not yet demonstrated | Build one dashboard from project data; list it only once finished |
| 1–2 years' experience | Preferred | Projects only | Limited evidence | Consider in Chapter 7 |
The Match Map deliberately has no overall percentage. Read the pattern instead: how your required items are rated, and whether any gap is a true dealbreaker.
Match Map → change plan → approved edits → Truth Check → five-pass human edit → send.
What it does: Lists every new or changed claim between your base and tailored versions, with its supporting evidence.
When to use it: Before sending any tailored resume/CV.
Compare my base resume/CV (A) with my tailored version (B).
List every claim in B that is new or changed: skills, tools, results, numbers, scope, seniority, and titles.
For each: the claim | the matching Evidence Ledger entry (quote it) | status: Supported / Stretched / Not found.
List "Stretched" and "Not found" first.
A: [paste]
B: [paste]
Evidence Ledger: [paste]
You provide: Both versions and your ledger.
| Part | Target share | My notes |
|---|---|---|
| Situation: where and when (1–2 sentences) | about 10% | |
| Task: my responsibility and what was at stake | about 10% | |
| Action: what I did, step by step, and why | about 60% | |
| Result: what changed (numbers only if I know them) | about 15% | |
| Reflection: what I learned or now do differently | about 5% | |
| Spoken length (timed) | 90–120 seconds |
Quality check: "I" for my actions throughout · Action is the longest part · The result is true and explainable · Other people are described fairly.

How it works
Pick a realistic target and write it down in one clear statement.
Give the AI your Evidence Ledger and the job description, not guesses.
Run the prompts to draft, analyse and practise. Then edit everything into your own words.
One task a day, a weekly review, and a tracker that shows what to change.
You stay in control. AI produces drafts and suggestions. You review and verify everything before it goes to an employer.
Built on honesty
Recruiters see a lot of generic, AI-written applications. This system is designed to avoid that: every workflow starts from your real achievements and ends with your own review.
Who it's for
Written in plain international English, with notes on where hiring norms differ between countries.
Turn projects, coursework and part-time work into evidence employers recognise.
Translate transferable skills into your new field's language, truthfully.
Check eligibility early and target roles you can actually take from where you live.
Show scope and seniority clearly, and prepare for tougher interview loops.
Get organised quickly with a plan, a tracker, and clear daily tasks.
Explain a career break plainly and lead with the experience you have.
The 30-day plan
Each day has one task, a time estimate, the prompts to use and the output to finish. Light days are built in.

Yes. The prompts are plain text and work with ChatGPT and other general-purpose AI assistants.
Yes. The prompts work the same way in Claude, Gemini, Copilot and similar assistants. Some prompts note when a tool with web access helps.

Yes. The prompts don't rely on any one product's special features. You can move between tools and keep using the same prompts.
The system is built so your applications sound like you: drafts start from your real evidence, and you rewrite them in your own voice. Follow each employer's rules on AI use, and never use AI during a live interview or assessment unless it's explicitly allowed.
Build a repeatable job-search system and let AI handle more of the busywork, while you stay in control.
